Iowans get their fitness on at this 167-acre lake, a small Raccoon River oxbow that swelled into a full-fledged body of water. Walk, jog or bike along the lakeside two-mile trail; rent a canoe or kayak and bust out some arm and core sculpting moves. The quarter-mile pedestrian bridge, illuminated with multicolored lights at night, is the prefect place for an after-dinner stroll.
