Serving the largest of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai International Airport acts as a major hub in the Middle East. The airport began expansion plans in 2004, opening a third terminal in 2008. Phase two of construction, which includes an expo center and exhibition halls, should be complete by the end of 2011.
