Glittering Dubai
Dubai truly wasn't born in the late 1960s—or the late 1990s. Since 1799, there has been a settlement known as Dubai. But today, the city stands alone in its propensity to reach, and reach some more. The glittering oasis on the gulf has weathered its own economic storms, but to live in Dubai is still to brush elbows with the world's monied elite.
