Dublin is famous for the bright, multicolored doors on its Georgian- style houses, which can be seen throughout the city. Several stories allegedly explain their origin. One legend has it that the wives of Dublin painted each of their doors a different color so that their husbands could find their way home after a long night out at the pub.
