No trip is complete in South Florida without a nature adventure through the Everglades. Hop on an airboat and glide across the subtropical ecosystem at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. Watch for wildlife, particularly the famous Florida alligator, and learn about the tales of the Seminole Indians during the 30-minute tour. After getting your fill of boat time, explore the park’s exhibits, which allow visitors to get up close and personal with species native and exotic to Florida, including holding a baby alligator. Stop by the Swamp Yard to visit and feed pot-bellied pigs, Peking ducks, iguanas, bunnies and more. With all there is to see, allow at least two hours for a visit.
