From the largest living Atlantic coral reef in captivity to sharks and bats, the Museum of Discovery and Science features more than 200 interactive exhibits. Located across from Riverwalk’s Esplanade Park in downtown, this building also houses a 12-foot snake, pet alligators, turtles and iguanas. Hop into one of nine cockpit simulators to see what it’s like to be a pilot or take a simulated trip to the Moon or Mars at the Runways to Rockets space exhibit. If an Earth adventure is more your style, the Living in the Everglades exhibit teaches about the wildlife of this unique ecosystem. The museum also includes the AutoNation IMAX 3D Theater where films are featured on a five-story-high screen, the biggest screen in South Florida. Before leaving, stop by the Explore Store to take a piece of the discovery home through educational games and books.
