Fort Myerssun and fun

Visitors who make the trip to Sanibel and Captiva to check out the pink beaches should make a stop at this unique, kitschy restaurant. Its colorful exterior is only a hint of things to come as toys, dolls, puppets, trains and knick-knacks cover every surface. The waitstaff, dressed in khaki uniforms and called “Bubble Scouts,” presents fun menu items like Bubble bread and smarvelous she-crab soup. Try a giant slice of orange crush cake for dessert, and don’t forget to say goodbye to the seven-foot Mickey Mouse (plucked from a 1930s-era Disney float) on the way out.
