Located on the beautiful Bob Jones University campus, this unique museum collection traces the religious, cultural and artistic history of Western Europe through important works of original art. Focusing primarily on European Old Master paintings, but also displays nearly 200 pieces of Gothic to 19th-century furniture, the collection also contains 100 sculptures, 60 textiles, more than 1,000 ancient artifacts, and 130 architectural elements ranging from fireplace mantels to stained glass windows. The works of art are beautifully displayed in rooms complete with period décor and furniture, providing a true aesthetic experience for understanding these works of history. Be sure to visit the satellite facility at Heritage Green in downtown Greenville, where interactive displays bring the world of the Old Masters to life. Special joint admission tickets are available if you intend to visit both locations. Also, once a year, the university hosts the “Living Gallery,” where priceless works of religious art are recreated in life size on stage.
