Just three miles from the North Carolina border, the park is a haven for fishermen, campers and hikers, providing stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding countryside. After registering with the park, explore the park’s network of easy to strenuous hiking trails that connect Caesar’s Head and neighboring Jones Gap state parks. Pack a picnic lunch and visit the breathtaking Caesar’s Head overlook high at the top of the park; come for the hawk watch, September through November; hike to Raven Cliff Falls and watch as the water plunges 420 feet to the caverns below; or backpack to one of the 24 backcountry campsites perfect for spending a night under the stars. Note: No drive-up campsites are available, and a valid South Carolina fishing license is required for anglers.
