South Carolina’s Children’s Museum of the Upstate empowers kids of all ages to discover the wonders of the world by seeking to ignite a passion for learning. At almost 80,000 square feet, this three-story museum is full of interactive exhibits focused on arts, humanities, health, science nutrition and the environment, perfect for curious little minds of all ages. Simulate flight; design a racecar; explore, imagine, pretend and be anything you want to be! Exhibits cater to both older children and infants/toddlers. During the school year, visits after 1:30 p.m. avoid the rush of large groups; otherwise, all-day attendance is encouraged. One adult required for every five children, and adults must have at least one child with them in order to enter. However, the museum hosts several Grown-Ups Only nights throughout the year for adults to enjoy the museum on their own.
