Falls Park on the beautiful Reedy River is an oasis, a nature lover’s paradise, and one of Greenville’s highlights. Located in downtown Greenville’s historic West End, the park boasts beautifully landscaped paths, “garden rooms” that display the best of the area’s seasonal color and plenty of space to enjoy a picnic lunch on the grass. You’ll also find several beautiful public-art sculptures scattered throughout the grounds. And as if the natural beauty wasn’t enough, there’s also Liberty Bridge—a 355-foot-long, curved, ultra-light suspension bridge designed by world-renowned architect Miguel Rosales—that provides dramatic aerial views of the falls and the surrounding gardens far below. The bridge also overlooks the site where Greenville’s first European settler established his trading post in 1768. This is also a popular location for public events, from festivals to stage performances, so keep your eye on the calendar to see what’s happening at the park.
