A district made up of 16 square blocks near Rice University, Rice Village (also called “The Village”) has drawn shoppers since the 1930s. Now home to over 300 shops, this is the place to come for a true pedestrian shopping experience, complete with classic storefronts. Options include boutiques such J. Hampton (women’s and men’s apparel) and Paula Fridkin Designs (jewelry and accessories) as well as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Urban Outfitters and other national chains. Dozens of restaurants and bars round out the neighborhood.
