Type: Nature Centers & Zoos

The Indianapolis Zoo might be considered a triple threat since it contains a zoo, aquarium and botanical garden (and the view of the skyline is pretty stellar, too). The zoo houses nearly 300 animal species, including dolphins, sharks, elephants, tigers, cheetahs and bears. Meanwhile, White River Gardens features beautiful water, knot and idea gardens. Try the roller coaster—it’s the only one in the city.
