Constitution Hill is home to the Old Fort Prison Complex, where political prisoners such as Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela-Mandela were held. It is now a museum and has been declared a national monument. Tours of the area also include the Constitutional Court where justices hear trials in the new united and democratic South Africa.
