What to Pack

Lagosians are super stylish, into the latest fashion trends and all about looking well put together, so leave those well-worn T-shirts at home. There are two distinct seasons in Nigeria—rainy (wet) season usually from April till October and the dry season from November to March. During the rainy season, make sure you pack a light sweater or long sleeved fleece top for cooler evenings in addition to lots of bug repellants. During the dry season, make sure you’ve got a sunhat or baseball cap as well as sunglasses to protect you from the scorching sun. Regardless of season, always have an umbrella handy because you are heading to the tropics, after all, and sudden showers are fairly common. Also, make sure you pack enough cash, because using your international credit card is highly discouraged.
