They say there’s a kid in each of us and one place to urge the youngster within to come out is the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage. It’s “the” place to be if your idea of a good time is seeing the magnificent animals that prance, paw and dash across the stage with Siegfried and Roy. There are other creatures afoot, and programs aplenty to enlighten you as to how these animals play a vital role in our ecosystem.

This is a perfect attraction for those of you who like to “give back” while you’re having fun, as the primary focus of the venue is scientific research—students, teachers and anyone who stops in gain a greater perspective of the exotic, enchanting, wondrous world of nature’s grandest creatures. If a pair of flippers and a bottlenose make you want to melt, the 2.5-million-gallon Dolphin Habitat flows through four connected pools with an artificial coral reef system and sandy bottom—all of which have been constructed to replicated the dolphin’s natural environment. Their lively fun will have you oohing and aahing like a young’un so park your reticence at the door.
