The idea of Parisian-style burlesque inside a former power plant-turned-swanky cocktail lounge seems like something out of a Hollywood film. But The Edison does indeed exist, and it evokes a bygone era with vintage steampunk and art deco decor. One of the hot spots that’s led to the reinvigoration of Downtown LA, the Edison is a glamorous destination for an artisanal cocktail and fabulous people-watching. Be forewarned that there is a dress code, so show up in your fancier duds.
