The official bat of Major League Baseball has been crafted in Louisville since 1884. Before touring the plant to see how the bats are made, visitors can pose for a photo outside with the World’s Biggest Bat—a 120-foot Slugger that shoots up over Main Street. Activities abound inside—clamber around a giant glove sculpture carved from 450-million-year-old Kentucky limestone, swing replica bats of legends past and present including Babe Ruth and Derek Jeter and test out the latest line of TPX and TPS aluminum bats.
