Located in the heart of Madrid, the “Descalzas Reales” Monastery became a convent for the barefoot Franciscan nuns in 1557. The monastery is not only a spectacular architectural masterpiece from the outside, but it is also a home to incredible tapestries and paintings on the inside from artists such as Brueghel, Coello and Titian, among others.
