Though it has various locations throughout the city, the Museo del Jamón’s (Ham Museum) location on Mayor 7 is famous for having appeared in Pedro Almodovar’s 1997 film Carne Trémula (Live Flesh). The restaurants all feature hundreds of hams hanging from the ceiling, but the culinary delights extend far beyond pork. Enjoy thinly shaved jamón Serrano piled high on freshly baked bread, grilled salmon or garlic infused shrimp along with a glass of Spanish wine to cleanse the palate.
