Gorgeous and peaceful, the popular Howard E. Futch Memorial Park at Paradise Beach spans more than 12 acres and includes beach access through dune crossovers, volleyball courts ready for a pick up game, picnic areas for an alfresco lunch or brunch, grills for trying your hand at outdoor cooking and playgrounds for the kids. At the beach, which is a great place for hunting sharks’ teeth and shells, fishing is allowed and lifeguards are on hand to ensure your safety as you body surf in the waves or take a swim past the break. Just remember: Dogs are not allowed at the park and neither is alcohol except in designated areas, so do your research if you plan on having some bubbles with your picnic.
