Frida Kahlo’s lifetime and artwork were exemplified by passionate love and tortuous pain, and her paintings are now more coveted and highly regarded than any other modern Mexican painter. Kahlo and her husband, muralist Diego Rivera, were public figures known for their stormy romance, beautiful art and their devotion to Mexico and its culture. The Museo Frida Kahlo (or Frida Kahlo Museum) is located in the very house where she was born, later lived with Rivera and died in 1954 at the age of 47. Inside the cobalt-blue house, a lucky visitor can find all kinds of details and clues about the life led by this enigmatic genius.
