Restaurateur John Kunkel unveiled this homage to Thailand in December of 2012, and Miami simply can’t get enough. In lieu of Americanized staples like pad Thai, Khong River House specializes in authentic representations of Southeast Asia—think house made noodles and dishes teeming with bold, pungent flavors such as sour pork, lemon grass and kaffir lime leaves. Order a few small plates, noodles and main entrées, and eat family-style. If trying to narrow it down seems too daunting, opt for the tasting menu.
