After the death of one of Italy’s most respected and well-known design talents, Achille Castiglioni, the studio where he worked in Milan for 40 years was opened as a museum in 2006. The studio remains practically intact from the last days before his death in 2002, and visitors have the rare chance to experience the atmosphere of his work environment as well as anecdotes about the man, as recounted by Achille’s wife and daughter, who manage the guided tours. On view are the drafting machines, models and prototypes, photographs, books, magazines and other every day objects and inspirations that surrounded the designer. Reservations are required.
