Meet Growing Power founder Will Allen, a former ABA player, for a tour of the urban-agricultural project that earned him a MacArthur Foundation Genius grant in 2008. Serving inner-city residents by providing them with fresh produce and the skills to start gardens in their back yards, Growing Power is also a national leader in young-farmer training and recently began an aquaponic project (fish and vegetable farm) at a site in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood called Sweet Water Organics.
