What to Pack

Even during the summer, the outdoor temperature can dramatically shift, so be sure to grab a light sweater or jacket for the evening or when the sun disappears behind the clouds, especially if you plan to dine outdoors. Winter brings blistery cold conditions—but also some of the most beautiful snowfalls you’ve ever seen—and you won’t want to be without gloves (easier for driving, plugging parking meters or outdoor sports) and a hat, as well as a warm, puffy jacket that’s preferably down. An umbrella or raincoat can help you weather spring showers.
