Munich

Munich has multiple distinct areas with many historical landmarks to tell you exactly where you are. The most common destinations for travelers (such as City Hall and the Glockenspiel) can be found in the City Center, also know as the area within the wall that surrounded the original city of Munich. This is also where the majority of restaurants and shops are located. To the northeast is the famed Englischer Garten, an enormous park (even larger than New York’s Central Park!) where travelers and locals alike can be found drinking a maß and eating soft pretzels in the sunshine any time of day. Slightly west is where the university, and the large student population, can be found, along with the trendy stores and coffee shops they frequent.
