Sure it’s a tourist trap, but even the biggest cynic can’t help but love the Hofbrauhaus. Get there early and grab a seat in the biergarden; if you can’t, a century-old table in the Die Schwemme—the famed first floor beer hall—is just as good. If you have too much fun, return in the morning for a little hair of the dog. It’s never too early for beer and weisswürst (a veal sausage) in Munich, and doors open at 9 a.m.
