Defined by St. Charles Avenue, Jackson Avenue, Magazine Street and Louisiana Avenue, this neighborhood was developed between 1832 and 1900. It is the swankiest part of town, with elegant homes and mansions sprinkled throughout the tree-lined streets. It’s worth a drive, just to see the architecture and opulence that is one part of life in the Big Easy.
