This museum is a decorative arts lover’s dream, with architecture by William and Geoffrey Platt and the gardens designed by Ellen Biddle Shipman. The mahogany antiques, chintz fabrics and English ceramics prove that good taste really endures. Donated by Edward and Edith Stern, the house is a great example of early-20th-century tastes and luxury, and just lots of fun.
