The bar borrows its moniker from the Philadelphia group of journalists of the same name who convened at the Bellevue Hotel once a month to eat, drink and talk from 1882 to the 1920s.

With a dark mahogany interior, exposed brick walls and a grand chandelier Clover Club's atmosphere feels like a modern take on Prohibition era elegance. This—and the nine different categories of libations on its cocktail menu—makes the trip to Brooklyn a necessity (especially since it's the chef-d'oeuvre of cocktail scholar Julia Reiner). If you're with a group of friends, order one of the punches, and if you're not, then the signature Clover Club is an obvious must.
