Notorious serial killer Ted Bundy was spotted at Oscar’s Restaurant in central Pensacola on February 15, 1978, when he was on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. He was later arrested by a Pensacola police officer.

General Andrew Jackson accepted the transfer of Florida from Spain to the United States in 1821, in what is now Plaza Ferdinand in downtown Pensacola.
