Visiting The Perfume House isn’t just a shopping excursion to pick up a bottle or two of something that smells nice. It’s an education and a window into the magic of perfume. Owner Chris Tsefalas, anointed as one of the 200 “noses” in the world, is able to determine all the elements that make up a fragrance. And not only does The Perfume House carry well-known brands, they also sell the most exclusive scents in the world. Check out the original Le Vainqueur—a fragrance commissioned by Napoleon and Josephine. Or ask to sneak a peak at the hand made Baccarat Crystal containing 1oz. of Cabochard perfume by the house of Gres (each bottle has a collector's number and signature of authentication). The private reserve fragrances are so rare, they can only be previewed by appointment.
