The restaurant is as modern as the museum it’s housed in, but the vine-like sculpture by renowned Raleigh artist Patrick Doherty affixed to the wall gives it a deeper local vibe. Staid museum food is a thing of the past here: Try the pastrami on grilled farm bread sandwich that’s zipped up with, of all things, brussel sprouts, walnut slaw and caper aioli.
