Housed in a new location (a former Benedictine Sisters convent, sans behavior restrictions), this beloved restaurant serves some of the city’s most interesting food, including goat cheese with piloncillo and chile morita sauce and fantastic homemade lamb sausage with spicy may. The Liberty Bar is justifiably famous for its own breads, pies (don’t miss the lime chess) and cakes (the Virginia green chocolate cake has a cult following).
