Learn about the history of Costa Rica through the Gold Museum’s collection of more than 1,600 gold objects from pre-Columbian times in Costa Rica (500 to 1500 A.D.). The pieces reflect part of the social structure in and around the region. The Museum does a good job of explaining the use of specific pieces, how they were made and what specific symbols on each mean.
