Named after the well-known Costa Rican tenor, the Teatro Popular Melico Salazar is a beautiful theater located in downtown San Jose and is the second-most popular theater in town next to the larger Teatro Nacional. Slightly more modest, but no less dedicated to the arts, the theater hosts a variety of shows including plays and dance.
