While it is a little bit touristy and makes no qualms about catering big time to the cruise-ship crowd, Raíces is still one of the best spots in Old San Juan for authentic Puerto Rican food. Every dish comes with mofongo (fried green plantains) or rice and beans. Live Jibaro music on Thursday evenings brings in the local crowd.
