Tangata, a name that means “mankind” in the tribal Maori language of New Zealand, offers cuisine that is Californian with French influence. Located in the courtyard of the Bower Museum, half the seating area is al fresco, and the rest is enclosed by glass-paneled walls, which allows plenty of natural light to filter in.
