Transportation 101

Pack your patience if you are going to be in a vehicle in this teeming city, as Shanghai is known for its wacky traffic. Besides the automobiles that whiz and wander from lane to lane, there are bicycles, scooters and motorcycles adding their movement to the chaotic ballet. It can take five hours to get from one side of Shanghai to the other depending upon the day and time, so you will want to plan accordingly if you’re heading across town at one of the city’s rush hours. Better yet, avoid that experience all together if you want to stay cool, calm and collected for your business meeting or your rendezvous.
