Inside a sky-blue building adjacent to the Virgin Islands Welcome Center is this showcase of items made by 150 or so artisans on St. Thomas and neighboring Caribbean islands. Choices for your culturally authentic souvenirs range from hot sauces to sweet-smelling soaps, and lots of stuff in between, including dolls, jewelry, paintings and native crafts. It’s also a step back in time, as this 19th-century brick building used to be the home of the U.S. District Court.
