The south façade of the Tampa Museum of Art building has been transformed into an exhibit of its own, created by Villarreal. Sky (Tampa), which features programmable LED lights that are embedded within perforated aluminum panels and are 45 feet high and 300 feet long. In daylight, the museum’s façade creates a dynamic pattern and at dusk, the LED light installation begins to glow with Villarreal’s signature light-coded dance.
Every Saturday, you will find interesting new programs like the Art Spot, a free program for children that offers hands-on activities at the museum, and Inspire Yoga, a yoga class taught in the museum’s exhibition space and designed to enable “the creative inspiration of art to infuse the physical and spiritual inspiration of yoga.”
