Switzerland’s awesome Freitag company takes old truck tarps and refashions them into funky totes, messengers and handbags. And to match that recycled aesthetic, the flagship Freitag store is constructed entirely from stacked freight containers. Freitag calls this a “bonsai skyscraper,” since the building towers somewhat over its trendy Zürich-West neighborhood. Stop here to ogle the architecture and bag a carryall that’s sturdy as well as stylish.
