The article by Steve Marsh about Jennifer Lawrence in the Hunger Games was your typical light airline magazine reading until I got to the part where Mr. Marsh defines Panem as "a future dystopia that sees North America parceled into 12 “districts” in the aftermath of a devastating civil war between the 1 percenters and the 99 percenters (the 99 percenters wind up with the short end of the stick, naturally)." What a way to politicize this article! And it's not true.
Having just read The Hunger Games I knew that Panem was not the result of a civil war, but disasters and later on revolts. There is no mention of 1 percenters and the 99 percenters.
What nonsence. If Mr. Marsh wants to interject politics into his articles, it should be on the editorial page.
