Deep in a dark alley of Chinatown's wet market, you'll find one of Bangkok's most exclusive restaurants, with dignitaries, movie stars and regular folks competing for one of its four tables. Be prepared for anything: Chef Somchai doesn't offer a menu. You're eating whatever he feels like making. Seafood is his specialty, so you may be presented with manti shrimp or fish maw soup in a homemade, spicy fish sauce. Make sure to call two months ahead to reserve your seat.
