Opened in 1897, Els Quartre Gats was the place where a teenage Picasso hung out around the piano bar and had his first show. Closed for decades, “The Four Cats” reopened in 1989. The interiors are warm and beckoning, filled with the intricate patterns of handmade tile. Fish and shellfish soup with breadcrumbs and meat cannelloni with truffle sauce on the warm starters menu are samplings of the restaurant’s diverse offerings.
