Louisiana Lagniappe (pronounced “lan yap,” meaning “a little something extra”) is considered one of the best Cajun/Creole restaurants in Baton Rouge. The fine-dining establishment does get crowded and does not take reservations, so make sure you get there early, and be prepared to grab a cocktail or two in the bar before being seated. Sample the oysters Lagniappe, which are baked in their shell with crabmeat, or the Amandine, pan sautéed fish with toasted almonds and lemon-butter sauce.
