Lay of the Land

Cancun is divided into two main zones- the Hotel Zone and the mainland. You can certainly enjoy yourself by sticking to the Hotel Zone: There are plenty of restaurants and beaches, and lots of nightlife. Exploring the mainland has its rewards: You can find more local culture and great shopping.
