Cancun and the surrounding areas have fascinating Mayan ruins to explore.

The east coast of Mexico is a hotbed of activity and history. The ancient Mayan civilization used to have their capital city on the Yucatan peninsula, ruins and remnants of their reign are scattered all over the coast and are easily accessible. With the Caribbean Sea to the east it is easy to find a water sport to fit any level of adventure seeker. Take a trip to the Garrafón national park where you can do it all, hike Mayan temples, zip line through the jungle or snorkel to discover coral reefs.
