Mingle with 75,000 fellow food lovers at this annual outdoor festival. Go for the live music and cooking demos from local chefs, plus regional microbrews, international wine and beer, and lots of things to eat. It’s a fantastic opportunity to sample foods from around the globe (Bosnian to Laotian and Salvadorian), while simultaneously checking out a good portion of Des Moines’ dining scene in one fell swoop. Prices range from $1 to $5, so you can’t burn too big a hole in your wallet. Efficient, cost effective and fun!
